TO 1997 MOVING TO BORDER HOUSE Accommodation at Strand House was extremely limited and access difficult. In 1995 it was decided to move to Border House, Coach Road, Whitehaven. Two small offices were rented thus enabling us to display equipment and provide more varied services. A Braille Embosser was donated by the Francis C. Scott Trust. The Society was now able to offer blind and partially sighted people a service for information in their preferred media. Also a multi-tape copier was purchased to dispatch our newsletter as quickly and efficiently as possible. Eventually a third office was aquired. Next Page >> | History Index |
