Included
in the 1991 Constitution were the following:
1. The Society to be named West Cumbria Society for the Visually Impaired
– ‘LOOK’ an abridged term for WCSVI was adopted.
2. The main objectives – To promote the welfare of visually impaired
people, and to educate the public about their needs and aspirations.
3. The Society would operate as an umbrella organisation for groups
concerned with visual impairment and should have power to establish
local groups/branches, as necessary, in support of its general objectives.
4. Membership.
5. General operation of the Society.
6. The composition of the Management Committee.
7. The procedures and powers of the Management Committee.
8. Annual General Meetings.
9. Alteration of the Constitution.
10. Dissolution of the Society.
