THE DANIEL HAY LIBRARY

In March 2001 West Cumbria Society for the Blind working with Alayne from Whitehaven Library raised £4,375 from The Neighbourhood Forum for the Daniel Hay Library, Whitehaven. The money was used to purchase a variety of Talking Books for the blind and partially sighted in Copeland. The Library also offers a mobile housebound service.

OUTINGS

Another aim of the Society is to provide outings for the visually impaired, whether it be afternoon tea, lunches or concerts. Funds to meet the cost of the outings have to be raised continually, locally and nationally.
