When
Mark Casey left the Society, Maureen Fisher was appointed as the Home
Support Worker for Allerdale. She also took over the running of the
Visually Impaired Persons Club. She organised day trips for the VIP
Club, such as lunch out at The West Cumbria College and many others.
JOINT FUNDRAISING
The relationship with the Royal National Institute for the Blind was
developed also, by entering into a second funding agreement. This
time it was a ‘Joint Fundraising’ agreement, any money collected from
Sooty Boxes would be shared between West Cumbria Society for the Blind
and The National Institute for the Blind.
