In 1997, 279 people were receiving the newsletter, 170 on audiocassette, 67 in large print and 42 in ordinary print. THE NATIONAL LOTTERY APPLICATION Audrey Ashbridge and Marie Scott successfully applied to the National Lottery Charities Board in 1996 for funding to purchase and refurbish a Resource and Information Centre. The funding was also used to employ a Project Manager, a Secretary and an Information Officer. The NLCB awarded West Cumbria Society for the Blind, Two hundred and four thousand, four hundred and eighty one pounds. Next Page >> | History Index |
